THIS IS AN EDWARDIAN WARDROBE FROM THE 1900s, IT IS MADE FROM MAHOGANY (SOLID & VENEER) WITH INLAID DECORATION. THE TOP SECTION IS A WARDROBE WITH MIRRORED DOOR. INSIDE THERE IS A RAIL FROM SIDE TO SIDE.
THE BOTTOM SECTION HAS A DRAWER WITH METAL HANDLES. THE TOP AND BASE SECTION SEPARATE FOR TRANSPORT, AND THE MAIN SECTION IS ALL ONE PART. THE TOP IS VERY FRONT HEAVY, IT WILL NEED FIXING TO THE WALL FOR SAFETY. FADED, SOME WEAR. SOME OLD WOODWORM HOLES, PROBABLY WORTH TREATING TO BE SURE.
THIS LOOKS OK AS IT IS, BUT COULD EASILY BE STRIPPED OR PAINTED. PLEASE SEEK ADVICE BEFORE STRIPPING OLD PAINT AND USE THE CORRECT SAFETY EQUIPMENT. IT WOULD LOOK GREAT PAINTED IN A CONTEMPORY COLOUR TO GIVE IT A STYLISH NEW LOOK. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT TALL FURNITURE SHOULD BE SAFELY SECURED TO THE WALL WITH SCREWS / BRACKETS FOR SAFETY.
