THIS IS A LATE VICTORIAN DESK. IN SOLID OAK, IT HAS A TWIN PEDESTAL. THERE DRAWERS ACROSS THE TOP, A LARGE CENTRE DRAWER, AND SMALLER DRAWERS EACH SIDE, THERE ARE DRAWERS BELOW ON EACH SIDE.
THE DRAWERS HAVE BRASS DROP HANDLES. THE BACK OF THE DESK IS PANELLED SO IT CAN BE USED IN THE CENTRE OF A ROOM. ON MODERN CASTORS, BUT THEY COULD BE REMOVED.
THE OPENING AT THE FRONT IS VERY SMALL, 44cm WIDE AND 60cm HIGH. IT IS STRONG AND STURDY, IN 1 LARGE PIECE. THE DESK IS SHOWING SIGNS OF WEAR DUE TO AGE. THERE ARE SCUFFS AND MARKS ON THE TOP PANEL. IN AVERAGE CONDITION. A STURDY AND STYLISH DESK FOR THE HOME OR OFFICE.
